Who to Watch
Reigning men’s singles champion Carlos Alcaraz returns to Wimbledon chasing his third consecutive title. The Spanish star enters the tournament in scintillating form, having just defended his French Open crown with a memorable win over world number one Jannik Sinner.
Alcaraz is widely seen as the man to beat, but his path to the trophy is far from clear. Novak Djokovic, a seven-time Wimbledon champion, is also in the draw and looking to make history by securing a record 25th Grand Slam title.
On the women’s side, world number one Aryna Sabalenka is on a mission to claim her first Grand Slam of 2025 after finishing runner-up at both the Australian Open and French Open. Among her rivals is Zheng Qinwen, the eighth-ranked Chinese player who was the top seed to fall on the opening day last year. Zheng, however, rebounded to claim Olympic gold shortly after and returns to Wimbledon with renewed confidence.
